These terms cover your use of the aismithpdx.com website and any information or tools on it. ai Smith pdx is the brand of AISMITH PDX LLC, an Oregon limited liability company based in Portland, Oregon. By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Using the site

You may use this site for lawful purposes — to learn about our services, submit the contact form, or chat with Smithy. Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, or misuse the site or its APIs, and don't submit content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.

Services & proposals

Consulting, training, and custom build work are described on this site for general information only. Any actual engagement is governed by a separate written agreement or proposal we both accept, which sets the scope, deliverables, fees, timeline, and ownership. If anything in a signed proposal conflicts with these terms, the signed proposal controls for that engagement.

Fees

Prices and packages shown on the site are estimates and may change. Fees for a specific project are set in your proposal. Unless the proposal says otherwise, invoices are due as stated there, and unpaid balances may pause work.

Intellectual property

The site's content, wordmark, and design belong to AISMITH PDX LLC. Deliverables we build for a client are assigned or licensed to that client per the terms of their proposal. Our reusable methods, templates, and tools remain ours.

Smithy (AI chat)

Smithy is an automated AI assistant, not a person and not legal, financial, or professional advice. Its answers can be incomplete or wrong. Don't rely on Smithy for decisions without confirming with Alex, and don't share passwords, payment details, or login codes in chat.

No warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We don't promise the site will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, AISMITH PDX LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Liability for any direct claim relating to the site is limited to the amount you paid us for the item giving rise to the claim (which, for the free public site, is zero). Engagement work is covered by the terms of its proposal.

Third-party links

The site may link to third-party sites (for example the App Store or Google Play). We aren't responsible for their content or practices.

Changes

We may update these terms as the business grows. The "last updated" date above shows the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Oregon.
